If you’re decent with tools and a DIY(do-it-yourself) guy or if you want to save some money, you can always build your own bar.

Of course their is always YouTube where there are plenty of people sharing their skills and tips for building or working on anything, not just bars. It takes a little looking around to find exactly what you want but it’s a great resource to get ideas and to show you what you’re in for. Here’s a good example.

Another way to go and probably the best, is to get your hands on some decent plans. Sure, you can just browse images on Google and decipher it yourself or, for a reasonable price, get access to over a dozen plans from BarPlans.com.
Not only clear, straight-forward, step by step instructions but comes with a materials list and estimated costs so you’re not over or under buying materials.

Heck, after you’re done with yours, you could actually start a bar building business with all the information you get. You know, something like “Junior’s Bar Builders”. Kind of catchy eh? Seriously, they are definitely worth checking out.
